INTERIM PASTOR - TIM BOYD
Pastor Tim and his wife, Julie, became the Lead Pastors of our fellowship on Father’s Day in 1999, beginning what has been an incredible and fruitful journey. Through his preaching and teaching of the Word of God, Pastor Tim consistently brings a fresh wind of the Spirit. His voice has been one of wisdom, hope, encouragement, and vision to our church family.
Pastor Tim is widely recognized as a catalyst for helping individuals grow into lifelong disciples of Jesus Christ. His heart and passion have always been to see lives saved, healed, and set free for the Kingdom of God. From there, his desire is to see people launched into the destiny God has prepared for their lives.
Throughout his years of ministry, Pastor Tim has faithfully served the Appalachian District of the Assemblies of God in several leadership roles, including Presbyter of the Two Virginias Section for nine years and Missions Director for the Appalachian Ministry Network for four years. He has also served on the Board of Directors for Appalachian Teen Challenge and as the Assistant Appalachian District Men’s Ministries Director. In addition, Pastor Tim is endorsed as a National Motorcycle Ministries Chaplain with the Assemblies of God.
Sensing a call to U.S. Missions, Pastor Tim transitioned from Lead Pastor to Interim Pastor on December 7, 2025. His final Sunday with us will be March 29, 2026.
Please continue to pray for Pastor Tim and Julie, and also pray for the next shepherd God is preparing for East River Church.
